- To be the medical expert and provide medical andscientific support to brand strategies, product claims and promotional and non-promotional materials
- To lead the day-to-day activities of the local Medical Affairs group including dealing with queries from HCPs and patients
- To maintain a goodworking knowledge of UK/Ireland regulatory and pricing procedures
- Review and sign off promotional and non-promotional materials in line with the ABPI Code of Conduct
- To develop and maintain relationships with Key Opinion Leaders and be a lead participant in company advisory board activities
- To be the scientific organiser of scientific meetings; locally, nationally and where appropriate internationally
- To support the evaluation of local or global business opportunities
- To be an active participant in international medical affairs projects
- Support the development of medical affairs projects & publications plans
- Ideally be medically qualified (MD, MBBS, MBChB with full GMC registration and a licenceto practice)
- Experience in clinical practice is strongly preferred
- Medical Affairs industry experience
- Excellent understanding of the NHS, customer facing experience and the ability to work in a cross-functional team
- Experience in gastroenterology, hepatology, inflammation and/or metabolic disorders would be highly advantageous.
- UK Registered Pharmacist (GPhC) registered with final signatory status and extensive experience in the above therapy areas will be considered.

This is a wonderful opportunity for an experienced medical affairs professional (GMC RegisteredMedical Doctor or potentially a GPhC Registered Pharmacist) to lead the medical and regulatory affairs function in an internationally visible and diverse role within an inclusive, supportive and team orientated company.
