    The Quality Engineer is a key role in our Bournville team. As a member of a cross-functional team, you ensure the successful implementation and maintenance of the Mondelēz International Quality Compliance Agenda.

    How you will contribute

    Be the voice of the consumer in the production lines and coach teams to lead and live consumer inspired quality.

  • Raise GMP standards and ensure compliance to the relevant GMP QP requirements through daily coaching of operational teams, GMP Audits and Internal Audits.
  • Measure quality compliance standards (inc. trading standards requirements) via the IQS program.
  • Actively manage and support any day to day Non-Conforming products via the Hold and Release process.
  • Participate, conduct and coach teams through internal investigations and root cause analyses, as per the internal NCR and CAPA procedures for any quality compliance incidents including, consumer & customer complaints, out of specification results, internal audits and factory/GMP issues.
  • Create, support and/or approve the maintenance of SOP's, work instructions & methodologies linked to any quality criteria and specifications.
  • Audit and review plant Quality records to ensure compliance, and provide coaching to colleagues completing & archiving records.
  • Prepare and maintain quality related documents for processes and products (using the site document control system eQCMS where necessary). Ensure site documentation is in line with Global Q Policies.
  • Ensure all samples are collected to enable finished product micro release in a timely manner.
  • Support swabbing program where necessary.
  • Escalate any findings to the relevant Quality Team member(s) as directed by the Plant Quality Manager.
  • Coach and train operational teams in all aspects of Quality Management where directed.
  • Participate in any projects to ensure quality and testing requirements are captured and incorporated where appropriate. Maintain the IQS database in line with changes driven by project requirements.
  • Attend DMS meetings.
  • Act as a member of the Section team taking ownership for elements of DMS 3 Section meetings where required. Provide the link between the Section team and the Quality function, understanding and aligning the agenda and balancing priorities.
  • Support Quality training, education and coaching.
  • Support and lead Quality engagement programs.
  • Know the ethical and legal compliance responsibilities of the position; raise questions and concerns when faced with an ethical or compliance issue; apply integrity in all aspects of professional conduct.
  • Participate in Quality Pillar meetings and activities.
  • Complete other work required as directed by the Quality Manager or delegates to support continuous improvement.

  • Quality competence of In Line Lead & line teams.
  • Reduce Quality loss. (Internal NC's, Customer complaints etc.)
  • Increase in GMP and Internal Audit Scores.
  • QP Global Audit successes.
  • Reduction in CPMU.
  • Root cause and implementation of preventive action.
  • Robust systems management and maintenance.
  • Quality continuous improvement projects implemented.
  • Successful external audits and other supply chain audits and visits.
