Description

The Commercial Litigation Assistant is responsible for the receipt of the initial instructions and initial matter creation and associated assurance checks to support risk assessment

Primary Duties

Logging Client's signed Forms of Authority and Completed Questionnaire on the Case Management System
Action BEIS Response on the Case Management System and/or checking for Guarantee
Requesting and logging required documentation from the Client
Carrying out Welcome Call with Client
Rearranging Client Appointments
Updating Guarantee Provider information on our Case Management System and requesting Guarantee
Requesting information from Estate Agents and placing onto our Case Management System
Requesting information from Conveyancing Solicitors and placing onto our Case Management System
Logging and recording Guarantee documents on our Case Management System
Requesting OFGEM Information
All necessary calls and correspondence with the Client and third parties in the initial stages of the Client's claims

Attributes & Competencies Required

Required_
Good interpersonal and communication skills to interact confidently with both staff and members of the public
English GCSE (grade 91, A-C or Key Skills Level 2 or equivalent)
Proven ability to plan, manage and prioritise workloads
Flexible approach to working as some evening and weekend work might be required to meet the Client's needs
Capability to undertake all assignments in a timely manner
Desirable_
Knowledge of the Limitation Act 1980
Knowledge of GDPR and Data Protection
