    HGV Maintenance Technician - Waste Management

    Company:
    We're in search of a skilled Heavy Goods Vehicle (HGV) Maintenance Technician to bolster the team at a respected waste management company


    Salary:
    £19- £20 per hour, inclusive of pension benefits (Permanent position)

    Working Hours: 7 AM - 5 PM, totalling 47.5 hours per week (contracted)

    Responsibilities:
    As an HGV Maintenance Technician, you'll focus on maintaining a fleet of HGVs. Your tasks will involve following planned preventive maintenance (PPM) schedules, performing maintenance, servicing, and repairs on various machinery.

    Timely completion of inspections and necessary repairs is crucial, as is proficient fault identification and management of all maintenance aspects.

    You'll work both independently and as part of a team, ensuring strict adherence to health and safety regulations and company protocols.


    Required Experience:

    To excel in this role, you should have experience as a Heavy Plant Fitter or Multiskilled Mechanical Maintenance Technician within a heavy industry context.

    Ideally, you would have prior exposure to HGV maintenance, including expertise in hydraulics and pneumatics.

    An engineering apprenticeship is , along with qualifications as a Certified Mechanical Engineer, Plant Fitter, or Maintenance Technician (C&G/NVQ/HNC, etc.).

    Any electrical expertise or qualifications would be beneficial, and while not mandatory, welding certifications are desirable.

    You should either be time-served or hold qualifications in your chosen field, such as Mechanical Fitter or Maintenance Technician, up to the level of C&G/NVQ/HNC/HND.

    A Class 1 HGV licence would be ideal Previous Titles:
