Are you a
MRICS Chartered building surveyor working at
Partner or Senior Associate level? If so, we are looking for an ambitious and driven individual to join our team in Milton Keynes.
We are looking for someone who is experienced and considered but also someone who is a good business developer and leader.
What you'll be doing:
- Work on a range of instructions received from clients and colleagues, mainly Commercial type instructions received from clients and colleagues
- Carry out and manage the delivery of professional instructions for clients e.g. Dilapidations, party wall, due diligence surveys, building pathology, condition surveys, measured surveys, reinstatement cost assessments, construction monitoring, principal designer role and project management of construction or fit out projects.
- Provide strategic and technical advice for clients
- Identify areas where future potential services could be required and actively sell in to existing clients
- Highlight marketplace changes, areas of interest and potential business opportunities to clients and professional contacts to build and maintain ongoing relationships
- Actively identify new business opportunities and implement business winning strategies with the aim of securing new instructions
- Drive forward actions to target new prospects and pitch/tender for new business
- Seek to maintain an uptodate knowledge of all legislation affecting the technical aspects of building surveying and share knowledge and information where appropriate
- Contribute to the development of the Commercial Building Surveyors fee income and expenditure targets on an annual basis
- Develop and maintain personal client portfolio based on repeat business reputation and personal relationships.
- Develop and maintain local & regional construction market place knowledge with a view to creating business & project opportunities
About you:
- MRICS qualified
- Proven experience and knowledge of building surveying
- Ability to generate new business
- Experience or desire to lead a team
- Experience of working on commercial building projects
- Organised, good attention to detail, able to prioritise workload

We will pay you competitively and provide you with an excellent benefits package: 28 days holiday (increasing with length of service), car allowance, up to 8% contributory pension, health insurance, discretionary bonus, medicash scheme (money towards dental treatments, opticians and remedial therapies).
Salary:
£28.00 per day
