Hackney Council is looking for someone who is highly organised to join our parking team.

Managing parking is an important way we make Hackney greener, safer and cleaner so we are looking for the right person to help contribute to this.

As a Consultation Officer, you will make sure all consultation documents are designed and printed within the agreed timescales.

You will take responsibility for continually improving our service performance to meet the varying demands of our customers ensuring we get it right first time.


You should have an understanding of a variety of IT packages and experience of using Google GSuite and be able to interpret consultation feedback.

You should have experience in managing and prioritising competing demands, keeping to strict deadlines and dealing effectively with contentious issues.


You should have experience in collecting, handling and analysing large amounts of information, and presenting this to a variety of professional and lay audiences in understandable form(in particular numerical information).

You will have experience of writing high quality reports for a range of audiences, including Councillors and senior managers.


We need someone who has previously worked within consultations or communications who enjoys being part of a team, yet is able to motivate themselves and prioritise their own workload within a pressurised environment.
