    Description

    Overview

    EFL Teachers are responsible for planning and delivering high-quality, EFL lessons following the ANGLO syllabus. ANGLO sessions promote the communicative approach with emphasis on speaking and listening skills.

    Your role & responsibilities

    • To liaise with the Teaching Manager and/or WTS with regards to all relevant teaching and student matters.
    • To teach levels and course types as directed by the TM/WTS, and to plan all classes sufficiently and mark students' work.
    • To select appropriate supplementary materials demonstrating sensitivity to the students' needs and cultural backgrounds.
    • To complete attendance registers accurately and to report any absence or sickness to the TM/ATM at the beginning of each lesson.
    • To be familiar with, and follow guidelines outlined in the Teacher Manual.
    • To attend and participate in teacher briefings, meetings and CPD sessions as and when required.
    • To ensure students are prepared for presentations, excursions, and cultural visits.
    • To respond to any issues, incidents and or complaints in an appropriate and timely manner; ensuring that the Teaching Manager is informed as required.
    • To exploit every opportunity for students to learn English both inside and outside the classroom.
    • To create a positive learning environment which is well organised and supports the introduction of British culture as part of the curriculum.
    • To provide students with adequate feedback on their work.
    • To accurately complete the students' weekly academic reports.
    • To follow ANGLO's safeguarding and welfare policies at all times.
    • To demonstrate a high level of professionalism at all times.


    Requirements

    Essential
    • First degree + TEFLi qualification or equivalent experience (e.g.: CELTA, Trinity CertTESOL)
    • Native or near-native English fluency
    • Subscribed to the DBS Update Service or willing to undertake a DBS check (or foreign equivalent where applicable)
    • Dynamic teaching approach

    Desirable
    • Prior experience of teaching U18s
    • Young Learners teaching qualification

    Benefits

    PAY: Weekly pay: £566 per full week

    HOURS: Between 9:00 and 18:00 Monday to Friday (up to 8 hours per day, including 7 teaching hours and 1 paid planning hour)

    CONTRACT: Temporary, fixed term

    PREPARATION: Induction before start of classes. Comprehensive training provided on arrival. Continued on-the-job support given
