    The Integrated Early Years Service, is seeking a Part Time Wraparound Finance and Audit Support Officer, fixed term, to support the development of a new programme to ensure that children aged 4 – 11-years have access to good quality affordable wraparound childcare during term time 8am – 6pm.

    You will join a small team to support the delivery of the National; Wraparound Programme in Dudley working with and alongside the Wraparound Project Development Officer, to support Private, Voluntary and Independent (PVI) Early Years and Childcare Providers and Schools to develop services that meets parents needs. Ensuring all childcare providers across the PVI sector and schools receive accurate and timely support to develop business plans, and applications for funding to deliver new or expand existing wraparound childcare places and monitor and audit their projects.

    The post holders must have a full understanding of funding and auditing projects in a timely and efficient manner and ensuring compliance with council standing orders, statutory financial regulations, internal and external audit requirements, preparation of reports to the wraparound funding panel and preparing data returns.

    Ensuring all providers comply with the DfE guidance and Dudley Wraparound Provider Agreements .

    You will be required to advise and guide, support and challenge providers to enable their access to wraparound project revenue and capital grant and to submit good quality business plans and applications for funding. You will need to have some understanding of childcare provision to assist providers to understand the project guidance and delivery requirements including monitoring and data collection.

    You will be working in fast pace and demanding environment so it is important that you are resilient, can remain calm, focussed, and professional. Working agilely, you will need to be an organised individual who enjoys working in a small team and on your own initiative and able to work to strict deadlines. As you will also deal directly with the public, and early years and childcare providers you must have excellent communication skills.
