ISA Compliance Officer Job Advert
The International School Aberdeen (ISA) has an exciting opportunity in the newly created role of Compliance Officer.
This new role has come about due to the early retirement of the schools Health and Safety
(H&S) Officer. Having reassessed the needs of the school we have created this new role to support the Head of School and wider Leadership Team in ensuring a high standard of H&S, the efficient organisation of trips, events and activities and general compliance within ISA.
The Compliance Officer will be primarily responsible for coordinating H&S and general legislative compliance within ISA, working closely with the Head of School, Principals and wider Leadership team.
- Educated to degree level or equivalent.
- Prior experience or qualification in Health and safety would be highly desirable but not essential.
- Experience of working in schools with prior knowledge of school's regulatory compliance is desirable but not essential.
- Experience of policy writing and the ability to interpret legislation is desirable but not essential.
- Excellent organisational, interpersonal and time management skills with a calm, considered and solutions based approach.
- Ability to communicate in a succinct, objective and calm manner and stand your ground when needed.
- Highly professional, approachable and positive.
- A confident communicator and advisor in fast moving situations.
The post is advertised on a full time, term time only basis with a start date of 1st August
2023 but this can be negotiable.
