Our client supplies innovative technologies and services, that support an integrated approach to Asset Management.
We're looking for either a person coming from a non-sales background, who has the tenaciousness required for selling and deep domain knowledgein the Energy Sector, specifically Oil, Gas or Utilities; or an experienced sales professional with strong consultative skills with a business background prior to sales; who will focus on IBM Maximo for Asset Management SaaS opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Generating licence revenue of £1.1M, and £1M services and associated hosting fees
- Managing the whole sale cycle including developing marketing plans, prospecting, generating leads, qualifying, presenting, proposing, progressing, negotiating and closing business.
- Managing the new business pipeline
- Liaising closely with the Engagement Manager to provide total solutions to prospects
- Working with the marketing team (and telemarketing agency) to ensure thought leadership programmes support prospecting activities into target companies and improved market perception
- Working with Operations and Engagement Managers to build and maintain references sites
Knowledge and Experience:
- Knowledge of Maintenance, Asset Management or other engineering business processes.
- Procurement/supply chain knowledge desired (not essential)
- A proven track record in either sales (ideally software sales) or business consulting

- You are a clear communicator who can relate to people and their challenges
- You are a confident and competent negotiator
- You have prior experience working with or within the Utilities and Energy sector
- You are passionate about working in the IT/technology sales sector
