Are you a real estate lawyer with an interest in working on ground breaking future energy projects? This is an exciting opportunity for a real estate associate to join one of the UKs largest real estate teams and to work within a expert team leading the journey to net zero and a more sustainable future.

This role would suit an real estate lawyer with a real interest in future energy who has 1 to 3 years PQE working in a commercial property team of a leading law firm.

This role will be based in the companies offices in Glasgow but will involve working across the wider UK team.

Our client has one of the UKs largest and highly reputed real estate teams who have a specialist team dealing with the property aspects of ground breaking future energy projects dealing with first of a kind technologies in the future energy space.

The Role


The real estate associate will get the opportunity to work on the property aspects of exciting future energy projects to include EV charging infrastructure, energy storage, solar VP, wind, hydropower, bio energy and decarbonisation.

You will draft bespoke agreements and documentation to include the negotiation of exclusivity agreements, options agreements, leases and also undertake due diligence on these projects.


The Person

  • Qualified Solicitor (SRA or Law Society Registered) 1 to 3 years PQE
  • Previous experience as a real estate lawyer with a keen interest to specialise in future energy matters
  • A forward thinker, with excellent analytical, communication and organisational skills, you will be selfmotivated with an ability to manage workloads and deadlines
  • Commercially aware, with enthusiasm for business development and an appetite for keeping up to date with the latest developments in your practice area
  • Excellent legal drafting skills with experience of drafting a range of complex commercial property documents and contracts
  • An understanding of your clients business needs
