Description
Interviews to be held on Friday 16 December*An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 3 Smoking Cessation Administrator to work within the Respiratory department here at West Hertfordshire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust.
In 2019, the Government pledged to make England 'smokefree', defined as smoking rates of 5% or less, and gave the tobacco industry an ultimatum to make smoking obsolete by 2030.
In response to this pledge West Hertfordshire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust (WHTH) has set up a Tobacco Dependency Service, whose role is to deliver stop smoking support during and after the hospital stay and refer the patient into community stop smoking support when they are discharged.
All patients admitted to WHTH should have their smoking status recorded and their smoking habits documented in line with the public health agenda.
