This role will be 4:30am to 1pm Monday to Friday

  • Generate both daily production plans as well as provisional plans to agreed timelines ensuring at all times they are presented in line with appropriate machinery availability and according to agreed run rates
  • Liaise with the Commercial team to determine customer requirements ensuring that all volume peaks and troughs are planned accordingly.
  • Ensure promotions and product changes are pre planned and communicated accordingly.
  • Support & where necessary deputise for Strategic Planning Manager where appropriate
  • Continuous evaluation of production schedules to ensure all products are delivered on time in full, and in line with business standard expectations.
  • Liaise with internal customers, including Maintenance and Prep teams to ensure all materials, and machinery will be available when required.
  • Troubleshoot problems that occur during the planning process, find solutions for these tasks with the support of team members and other areas of the business as required.
  • Attend daily meetings as required ensure all daily and forthcoming actions are communicated effectively.
  • Liaise with the Production department to make sure the required agency is ordered for the following days production in line with run rates and standards.
  • Update online websites with transport schedules and order acknowledgements.

Accountabilities:


  • Ensuring that vehicles depart on time and with all the product that has been ordered by the customer. Measured by customer OTIF service levels.
  • Making sure the production schedules are planned in such a way to reduced downtime and avoid excess labour within the business to carry out this plan. Measured by the Accounts team and shared to the greater business.
  • This role has a responsibility for food safety, brand integrity and Health and Safety

Experience and skills:


  • Good Understand of Excel is essential in this role, previous experience of working with Oracle would be advantages but not essential.
  • Aptitude for problem solving
  • Effective communicator both verbal & written.
  • Ability to adapt to an everchanging business environment.
  • Ability to influence & motivate others.
  • Previous Planning/Purchasing experience desirable.
  • Attention to Detail.
  • Excellent Organisational Skills
  • Ability to work under pressure.
