    Excellent development opportunity to join a busy Purchasing Team.

    Amphenol Invotec is a leading European manufacturer of complex printed circuit boards (PCBSs). Our PCBs are used in some of the most demanding applications in the World, including Space Exploration, Aero-Engines, Defense Systems and even Formula 1 cars.

    We are currently recruiting for a Purchasing Officer to join our team based Tamworth. This is an office based role only.

    The ideal candidate is a highly organized, detail-oriented team player.

    As part of the role you will need to:

    • Purchase goods, materials, components/services in line with specified cost, quality and delivery targets – ensuring compliance to company/department guidelines/procedures.
    • Contact suppliers to resolve price, quality, delivery and/or invoice issues.
    • Support the purchasing function and other relevant departments and communicate any supply problems which may impact on business operations.
    • Monitor market trends, competitor strategies and market suppliers.
    • Work closely with others in the procurement function; review opportunities for continuous improvement and business improvements.
    • Build maintain and manage supplier relationships and keep up good communications.

    Qualifications & experience:

    • Previous experience of working in a purchasing team an advantage.
    • Good knowledge of purchasing and inventory an advantage.
    • Able to "Add Value", reduce costs and input to business improvements.
    • Excellent communicator at all levels.
    • Numerate, accurate with the ability to meet deadlines and targets.
    • Flexible and adaptable to work in a busy environment.
    • Computer literate – with Excel skills/abilities.

    Pay & Benefits:

    *Future CIPS Training possible.

    *Salary will be circa £24,000 (dependent on experience).
