    This role is part of a dynamic team who are focused on managing and implementing new complex solutions and innovations into a thriving firm.

    They will be part of a growing infrastructure team architecting & delivering large/complex projects to a high standard, ensuring they are communicated well within the IT department and firm.

    Working consultatively and directly with people across the firm is a necessity. They will also provide 3rd line support and assist with escalations from the support & security teams.

    The successful candidate will have a pro-active attitude and an aptitude for working with applications/systems and infrastructure to undertake the correct analysis, prioritisation and diagnosis of issues, leading to swift resolution.

    They will deliver a high level of customer satisfaction. They will have strong infrastructure and excellent communication skills, while development skills are desirable. Location
    Mixed between home and other PMC locations dependent on the role/project requirements. Hours
    Working, in general, 35 hour weeks but following an agile working internal policy.

    On occasion it may be required to work additional hours to facilitate project implementations or such hours as necessary to carry out duties.

    Responsibilities Architect & deliver IT infrastructure designs to the project requirements incorporating client and regulator security best practices and guidelines using new or existing technologies.

    Maintain and improve where possible, security, data integrity and confidentiality as part of support & solution creation in line with client and regulator security best practices and guidelines.

    Ensure a high level of service to the firm by investigating and resolving service desk tickets to appropriate standards and delivery times.

    Generate high quality documentation and ensure all solutions are transitioned to business as usual in an effective and managed way so there is no disruption to the firm, and they can be maintained/supported easily.

    Present new solutions, procedures and mechanisms to the rest of the department and project stakeholders via appropriate mediums.
    As part of project delivery, work closely with non-IT people to ensure a successful project delivery.
    Analyse existing operational standards, processes, and/or governance to identify and implement improvements.
    Manage security and access controls of all infrastructure.
    Develop and implement policy driven data protection best practices to ensure all infrastructure are protected from any data loss.
    Leading the implementation of cloud-based solutions using Azure services such as virtual machines, storage, networking, and security.
    Identifying and mitigating potential technical issues and risks.
    Providing guidance and technical leadership to other team members.
    Engage and work with vendors/consultants as needed.
    Ability to self-manage / prioritise multiple workloads from projects to business as usual.
    Investigate new & emerging technology and solutions to meet current and future business challenges or requirements.
    Staying up to date with the latest technologies and legal industry trends and take responsibility for self-development. Essential & Desirable Criteria Essential skills
    A dynamic individual who is an excellent communicator, and team player
    Experience working in a customer focused IT department
    At least five years managing and supporting Windows Infrastructures including Active Directory, SQL Server, Office 365, Microsoft Azure

    At least two years architecting/delivering technical and highly secure solutions in line with client and regulator security best practices and guidelines.

    Keeps up to date with the latest technologies and developments within the industry
    Knowledge and experience in infrastructure, networking, automation & AI
    Ability to understand complex requirements, analyse using an objective mind and logical thinking to produce robust deliverables
    Experience of working within a structured team
    Ability to prioritise and manage workloads, maintaining composure at all times
    To provide new technical designs and provide recommendations and costs for new system requirements Desirable skills and experience
    Highly skilled in Microsoft Azure infrastructure designs, development etc.
    Experience working in a project management structure
    Technical knowledge of legal applications and infrastructure
    AZ-104 / AZ-305 or equivalent certification
    Understand and diagnose issues in PowerShell scripts.
    Experience with domain trusts and use of Active Directory
