    Candidates should have:
    Degree level education in one of the following disciplines: Computer Science / Management Information Systems/Science / Engineering / Mathematics / Physics / Chemistry

    Be able Demonstrate relevant Industry experience of at least 5 years.

    Excellent System Admin skills in Linux/Unix including commands and shell scripting. OEL/Redhat preferred.

    Strong analytical/troubleshooting skills supporting the OS, Storage and Hardware for Applications platforms and Database

    Some NAS and/or SAN Storage administration experience

    Exceptional understanding of fundamental Network concepts (e.g. Routing, DNS, Firewalls)

    Excellent oral and written communication skills

    The ability to work both independently and with members of a global team without close supervision.

    Experience in supporting cloud-base infrastructure (e.g. Oracle OCI Platform)

    Terraform, Kubernetes, Ansible, Puppet, and other automation skills are a plus

    A minimum of 3 year's experience and advanced skills in several of the areas listed below:

    Core OS Services:
    SSH, SFTP, NFS, DNS, DHCP, LDAP,

    Scripting in Python or bash

    Proficient managing Virtualization technology, Xen preferred

    Supporting X86 based technology including fundamental hardware triage skills. Understanding Monitoring and diagnostics to maintain equipment health and reacting appropriately

    Using Change Control tools to manage the site-service workflow

    Exposure to Exadata or RAC desirable

    Key filesystem concepts – Ext, NFS, HW RAID and SCSI

    Experience of performance monitoring and capacity management

    Essential awareness of operations in a secure environment

    Perform performance trend analysis and manage the server/network capacity. Propose client configuration and implement technical solutions to enhance and/or troubleshoot the system. Work with others to define, coordinate vendor purchase needs. Responsible for support documentation as well.

    Job duties are varied and complex utilising independent judgment. May have project lead role. 5 years of related experience in a medium to large network distributed and computing environment. BS in Computer Science or related field.
