Site Maintenance Operative - Wadhurst, United Kingdom - Uplands Academy
Description
We are looking for a professional and self-motivated individual with good practical maintenance experience, excellent communication skills and the ability to be flexible. Working as part of the Site team, you should be able to work proactively and independently to ensure the efficient operation of the Academy campus.
An immediate start is available subject to DBS, health checks and references. The post is full-time (37 hours per week), 52 weeks per year. The working hours will work on a three-week rota made up of some early shifts (6.30am – 2.30pm), mid shifts (8.00am – 4.00pm) and some late shifts (11.00am – 7.00pm). Occasionally, flexibility will be required in relation to working hours. This can be discussed further at interview.
We are a mixed 11–18 non-selective converter academy with approximately 835 students. Uplands Academy converted to an Academy in September 2022 and became a member of the MARK Education Trust (formerly Beacon Community College Academy Trust). The acronym MARK was selected because staff who work in the trust are motivated, ambitious, resourceful, and knowledgeable. This partnership will provide many exciting opportunities for professional development and the sharing of good practice across the two schools. This is the start of a new era for Uplands and an excellent time to join our thriving rural school.
