Due to a recent internal promotion at Garolla, we are looking for a Purchase Ledger Clerk to join our accounts team.

You will be arriving in a period of continued growth in which we are hiring key positions within the accounts department to ensure we provide the infrastructure required within the business to continue with the success of this ever growing brand.

This role will be working with the accounts team and reporting into the Company Management Accountant.


The company purchase ledger clerk will ensure that timely and accurate information from invoices is produced and ensure the integrity of the underlying ledger.


Main Responsibilities:


  • Process Invoices and expenses into Sage 50 Cloud via AutoEntry
  • Ensure invoices are coded to the correct nominal code
  • Liaising with suppliers to reconcile their accounts
  • Generate suggested payment runs and prioritise proforma payments
  • Ensuring the purchase ledger is maintained and up to date
  • Ensure the information for VAT returns is accurate and understand the impact of different VAT codes
  • Build relationships with internal departments to ensure all inputs are received in a timely manner
  • Process and post the company expenses into Sage and reconcile the account.

Qualifications:


  • Previous experience of purchase ledger is essential
  • Experience of Sage 50 Cloud is preferred but not essential
  • Experience of working in a small team in an accounts office.
  • Have previous experience of reconciliation work and problem solving
