    Flexible working options - hybrid office / WFHTe Whiwhinga mahi The opportunity We are looking for someone to step into this developmental role who has an understanding of what it means to be a regulator and wants to establish themselves in this field.

    Working collaboratively across Waka Kotahi, you will help reduce risk and ensure compliance through monitoring, and reviewing commercial transport operators.

    This is an important and varied role and you will be kept busy meeting transport operators, gathering information, writing reports and analysing data to inform decisions.

    Although you will be based in Christchurch, travel is a key part of this role, and you will be regularly engaging with operators across the upper South Island.

    Your positive outlook and savvy interpersonal skills will be your greatest asset as you meet with and influence business owners, safety managers, truck drivers and others to improve safety outcomes.

    This is an excellent opportunity for someone with some regulatory, compliance or enforcement exposure looking to take the next step in their career.

    An agile and enquiring mind
    Confidence working and communicating in a practical commercial transport environment.
    The New Zealand Certificate in Regulatory Compliance (Level 3 Core Knowledge) would be an advantage.
