- Previous experience of working in a senior financial position level in a comparable or larger organisation, preferably in Education or the Charities sector.
- Qualified accountant (ACCA, ACA, CIMA).
- Experience preparing, monitoring and analysing budgets and Annual Accounts in a public sector environment.
- Experience managing procurement activity, fixed assets, and contracts (including negotiation and monitoring).
- Experience managing and motivating a high-performing team.

School Head of Finance | NewhamRibbons & Reeves are working alongside a top Outstanding Rated Multi-Academy-Trust in Newham to find a top-calibre School Head of Finance. This pivotal School Head of Finance role will report directly to the CFO.
As School Head of Finance, you will play a vital role in driving the school towards its overarching goals by making well-informed decisions that ensure operational efficiency and lay a robust foundation for future growth. The School Head of Finance will spearhead the day-to-day management and running of the Langdon accounting function within the Trust including purchase ledger, sales ledger and payroll. You will develop with the Chief Finance Officer (CFO) and Financial Controller, a 3-year financial plan for the Trust in this School Head of Finance role. The ideal candidate will possess relevant accountancy qualifications and boast a substantial track record of success in financial management in a school or public sector environment. Strong leadership, managerial acumen, and exceptional interpersonal skills are essential attributes for this role.
