Big Motoring World are one of the largest car supermarket specialists in the UK. We have a fantastic opportunity in Peterborough for a Yard Supervisor - Back Shift to join our vibrant and dynamic team.

Big Motoring World Group is an expanding dealer group that is going from strength to strength, and this is an exciting opportunity to join a fast and progressive moving group as well as working alongside lots of other experienced technicians to help and support.

We are looking for enthusiastic, reliable individuals with a self-motivating attitude, with an eye for detail and able to work as part of a team within a busy, fast-moving environment.

What we offer

Work Shift Pattern is 15:00pm 01:00am (Monday
Thursday) and 15:00pm 20:00pm (Friday)
Contracted Hours 42.5 hours per week
Salary Base: £30,469 per annum, this includes night shift allowance

Duties and Responsibilities

Supervise and lead the yard staff, ensuring a high level of performance and adherence to safety protocols
Implement and enforce best practices in the yard to enhance productivity and minimise errors
Manage inspection of vehicles unloading from our vehicle transporters
Identifying damage, vehicle defects or shortages from vehicle specifications.
Moving vehicles to workshops in date priority order.
General yard duties

Strong leadership and managerial skills with the ability to motivate and guide a team and working to targets
Good communicative skills and ability to understand and carry out written and verbal instructions
Take pride and responsibility for your own appearance as well as the appearance and organisation of the site in which you work
Literate, numerate and proficient computer skills
Systematic and organised; pays attention to the finer details
Demonstrates an honest and diligent approach to work
Team player
