Resulting from a grant from NHS Charities Together through the North West Anglia Hospitals Charity, the post holder will play a key role in the Organisational Development Team by;

  • Being responsible for delivering key elements of the Trust's charityfunded wellbeing priorities.
  • Working with multiple stakeholders across the organisation, design and delivery of initiatives that support our staff to look after their physical and mental health & wellbeing.
  • Be a representative for the Trusts Health & Wellbeing provision, and the North West Anglia Hospitals Charity, at meetings, training and events, presenting and promoting the Health & Wellbeing agenda in an enthusiastic, positive and professional manner.

  • In line with the grant criteria from NHS Charities Together, utilising specialist knowledge and experience, and working with the Charity Project Manager, consult, design, deliver and evaluate a self-sustaining programme of health & wellbeing activities and events which are accessible to all staff across the Trust locations.
  • Work within the OD Team to deliver charity funded 'Staff Sanctuary Spaces' and help to identify other locations for staff rest and relaxation.
  • Work with the Charity Project Manager to deliver the NHS Charities Together funded 'Rainbow Ticket' project, which encourages staff/teams/departments to bid for a Rainbow Ticket, worth £250 each, which can be used within their department on items which enhance their rest areas and support their health and wellbeing. This may include financial verification on invoices for purchased items.
  • Prepare reports of activity and evaluation, at pre-agreed points of delivery, which will be submitted to NHS Charities Together, so that they can assess the impact of their funding.
  • Work within the OD team to analyse staff survey trends and develop plans which support staff wellbeing interventions.
  • Represent the Health & Wellbeing activity of the Trust, and the Trust Charity, in an appropriate professional manner and in-line with the Trust's values and behaviours.
  • Work with the Charity Project Manager to identify sources of funding for initiatives and contribute to writing of bids for funding.
  • Develop and build meaningful professional working relationships with relevant community, ICP/ICS wellbeing leads, and voluntary sector and managers, staff from clinical and non-clinical backgrounds.
  • Able to deploy strong influencing, network and negation skills to ensure the health & wellbeing agenda is very visible in the organisation.
  • Work with the Communications Team to assist in the updating and development of the Trust's dedicated staff web pages with relevant information relating to Health & Wellbeing.
  • Review best practice research and emerging evidence with health & wellbeing colleagues and use this to inform service lead of required policy or a change in work practices.
  • Attend Trust meetings, as required, and ensure actions are recorded, logged and delivered using Microsoft Office packages or other appropriate systems.
  • Requires light physical effort to move equipment e.g., laptop and training materials, and travel between Trust sites.
  • Nature of work pattern unpredictable - will have to switch tasks and reprioritise work in order to deal with issues that arise.
  • Required to deal with the emotions, tensions and sensitive topic areas inherent in individuals and groups around the Health & Wellbeing agenda. This may include receiving highly sensitive personal information and demonstrating empathy in an appropriate manner.
