  • Within the Technology directorate, the Infrastructure and Service Division is responsible for ensuring that the Bank's IT services perform to the appropriate level to meet the business needs, while providing knowledge and expertise to support the Bank's foundational Infrastructure, Enterprise platforms, and End User services. Our mission is to ensure that Bank colleagues are able to fulfil their work delivering the bank's mission at all times.
  • The Digital Transformation function sits within Digital Services, and is responsible for ensuring that the Division is optimising its relationships with its key vendors, delivering solutions to support the future technology requirements of the Bank and demonstrating value for money. The Software Asset management and licensing functions have recently been aligned to the Digital Transformation team.

Job description


Reporting to the Head of Digital Transformation, the Software License and Asset Management specialist to provide leadership, expertise, and accountability to deliver high quality Software License Asset Management processes, with responsibility to improve the maturity of these processes, provide oversight and governance of the Bank's software license position.

This includes owning and managing the processes and risks, consulting to provide expertise during procurement activities, and developing a framework to ensure contract and relationship owners are able to fulfil their responsibilities.


Service Improvement and Strategy


Own, Implement, and run a Software License Management Policy with governance and process that supports the Bank's mission, minimises the Bank's risk position, and maximises cost savings to the Bank.

Provide strategic oversight of the Bank's software estate, and ownership of the Bank's Software Asset Management processes;

Manage the existing End User Additional Software (including Assistive Tech) budget and ensure that quarterly forecasts and yearly budgeting cycles are completed.

Provide strategic insight and expertise to drive improvement to the Bank's operational, financial and reputational risk position with regards to software;
Work with stakeholders to ensure existing software contracts / agreements are valid and right sized for the Bank's installed software estate;
Manage relationships with key software vendors and resellers;
Input into the development of a cross charging model to ensure that all Business and Technology Domains a
