THE OPPORTUNITY:

Macildowie are currently recruiting for an
Application Support Analyst vacancy working for a business based in Leicestershire.
This is a permanent full time position which offers hybrid working.

THE ROLE & YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

Investigate Internal Helpdesk Tickets, providing support and guidance where required.
Manage Business UAT, associated feedback and Support Build Deployments.
Create flexible, scalable data models that reflect complex requirements. SQL database design, implementation, and maintenance.
Write complex SQL queries, functions, and procedures in Microsoft SQL server.
Develop ETL SISS processes and SSRS reports.
Ensure adequate testing automation, processes and procedures are applied to the reservation's platform using scripting tools.

Monitor ongoing performance and ensure a hight level of system stability, availability and data integrity using software monitoring and reporting tools.

Support the Manager, Systems with new developments, from business requirements through to delivery of new developments, where required.
Devote a percentage of time to systems documentation and acquiring Release Notes from Suppliers.

EXPERIENCE SOUGHT IN THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE:
Have previously worked in an Application Support Role.
Be proficient in Microsoft SQL Server 2012 (or later), including all aspects of T_SQL, performance tuning, SSRS and SSIS.
Have good understanding of XML & JSON.
Have the ability to understand complex business processes and corresponding data flows.
Be able to explain complex technical solutions to non-technical staff.
Communicate and collaborate effectively.
Demonstrate a high level of analytical skills.
Be able to meet deadlines
Be driven to continuously improve processes and procedures.
