    Job Overview:

    As a Business Risk Specialist in the Front Office Risk Management Team, you and the team are responsible for the effective evaluation and operational risk incurred through the daily activity of the Front Office. You will play a crucial role in exercising active risk management, interfacing with local management, team heads, desk heads, products and operations team heads, as well as local and global risk, compliance and audit functions.
    You will help ensure that risks are both identified and assessed and that appropriate mitigation and management measures are implemented.

    Responsibilities:
    • Performance of controls related to Front Office activity (e.g. advice, suitability, KYC/AML, cross-border activity, transaction capture/processing).
    • Risk Reporting - responsible for producing comprehensive MI reports and ensuring the risks identified are addressed and mitigated in a timely and sustainable manner
    • Control improvement (if/ where required)
    • Identifying risk hotspots and trends through assessment of risk controls and reviews.
    • Act as adviser/business partner to the Front Office.
    • Representing the Business Risk team in working groups, forums/committees as required.
      Qualifications

      Essential Skills:
      • Previous experience gained in Private Banking/Wealth Management 1LOD Risk and Control
      • Previous experience in a Compliance, Audit or Risk background is an advantage
      • Self-starter who is able to work both independently and within a team
      • Excellent communications skills both written and verbal
