    The de Ferrers Academy

    The de Ferrers Academy is a part of The de Ferrers Trust. We are a Multi Academy Trust currently based in Staffordshire and Derbyshire. We consist of 3 Secondary Academies and 4 Primary Academies.

    Following on from 10 years as a specialist Technology College, de Ferrers became an Academy in January 2011. It has grown into a large, split-site, co-educational institution catering for the full range of students from ages

    Excellent funding has allowed the Academy to enhance resources and equipment and widely promote the use of new technologies. There are digital projectors and flat screen TVs in all curriculum areas with over 500 computers and laptops across all sites.

    Our vision is to ensure that all the children and young people in our care have the opportunity to fulfil their potential through achieving highly, regardless of their ability or background.

    The Candidate

    We are seeking to appoint a dynamic and motivated Historyteacherwith an infectious passion for the subject, to join us at The de Ferrers Academy. This is an exciting opportunity for you to create innovative and exciting learning opportunities for our students.

    You must be confident in the delivery of Historyand have the ambition and dedication to continue to develop the curriculum in line with current practice and research in effective teaching.

    You will be able to support in the promotion of excellent standards of student learning, achievement, progress, attainment and behaviour through working effectively and collaboratively. You will be passionate about your specialist subject and seek to positively impact your field and the Academy.
