About The Role:

PETA Ltd are proud to be working with an established cosmetic, nutritional and pharmaceutical manufacturer to recruit a Quality Administrator Apprentice.

Do you have an interest in quality management? Are you looking to kickstart your career in an administrative role? If the answer is YES, we could have the ideal role for you.


The Administration Apprentice will be responsible for all administration activities relating to the Laleham Quality Management System and technical documentation activities relating to Laleham packaged product.

This is a varied, hands-on, office-based role in a fast-paced environment, which requires flexibility, enthusiasm, accuracy, and attention to detail at all times.


Training to be provided:

Level 3 Business Administrator Apprenticeship Standard. You will complete a 15-month apprenticeship which includes 12 days at the PETA training centre in Cosham. You will be supported every 6 weeks with visits from your PETA Learning & Development Coach.


About the role:

The Quality Administrator Apprentice will be responsible for the following duties:

  • Assist with the maintenance of the company Quality Management System (QMS) in compliance with ISO 13485 and any regulatory and/or customer requirements
  • Create and maintain all master packaging specifications, including nonstandard packaging specifications
  • Creation and maintenance of master label templates for outer packaging as per customer requirements
  • File all nonpharma production paperwork and batch documentation
  • Create and distribute copies of batch related documentation and C of As as per customer requirements
  • Prepare pharma paperwork for Qualified Person (QP) batch release
  • Complete weekly / monthly spread sheets as required
  • Assist in ensuring all customer sample requirements are met
  • Assist in the maintenance of Quality Department personnel training matrix and associated training records
  • Create Product Quality Review (PQR) documentation
  • Assist in the training duties where applicable
  • Filing component samples
  • Maintenance of the document archive
  • Carry out any other reasonable duties at the request of the Senior Quality Administrator, Quality Assurance Supervisor, Quality Manager or Technical Director

It is essential that the Quality Administrator Apprentice has the following skills and personal qualities:

  • Strong administration skills and good attention to detail
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office gained through practical experience
  • Ability to build strong relationships with internal and external customers, suppliers and regulatory bodies
  • A confident individual able to communicate effectively with all levels of personnel
  • Demonstrate ability to efficiently plan, organise and manage own workload
  • Ability to prioritise workload of others
  • Good verbal communication and interpersonal skills
  • GCSEs in maths and English with at least a grade C / 4 are required

Desirable skills:

It is desirable that the Quality Administrator Apprentice has the following skills and personal qualities:

  • Experienced technically minded administrator familiar with maintaining a Quality Management System
  • Educated to Alevel qualification or equivalent
