- Safely operate a truck to transport goods and materials to designated locations
- Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment
- Follow all traffic laws and regulations while driving
- Inspect vehicles for mechanical issues and perform basic maintenance tasks
- Plan routes and meet delivery schedules
- Communicate with dispatchers, customers, and team members regarding delivery status
- Complete necessary paperwork and maintain accurate records of deliveries and operate PDA's
- Valid Class CE drivers licence, Digital Tachograph Card and CPC
- Excellent time management skills and ability to meet deadlines
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures for commercial driving
- RHIDES card preferred but not essential

Description
EnRoute Recruit are actively seeking multiple experienced and reliable Class 1 Drivers to work from our clients Braintree depot. This is a full time ongoing temp to perm position.
The ideal candidate will have experience in container collections, curtain side work, air freight, G7 or Rollerbed and will also occasionally be required at times to drive either an 18t rigid or 7.5t box van for customer deliveries.
You will be working on a 4 on 4 off rota 0600am - 1800pm with occasional overtime.

The rate of pay for this position is £18.49 per hour including holiday.
You will be required to fill in some paperwork electronically before you can start as a class 1 driver.
All drivers must have driven a class 1 vehicle for a minimum of two years and have a clean license.
