    Location - Aberdeen or Victoria, London

    Employment status - Permanent role

    Working arrangement - Hybrid (minimum 3 days in office / 2 from home)

    Purpose of Role:

    • The Global Disaster Recovery & Business Continuity Supervisor is responsible for supporting the day-to-day service delivery and ongoing operation of defined IT services provided by both internal and external service providers, including deployment, monitoring, and administration as well as prevention and resolution of issues.
    • The role will be responsible to ensure effective DR/BC tests are scheduled, performed and lessons learnt are documented and tracked in the ISMS to completion.
    • The role is responsible for the monitoring and management of appropriate Service Level Agreements (SLA) for the service functions within their control, incl. leading and managing said SLAs
    • The role will support the GRC Lead in the governance of relevant disciplines

    Areas of Accountability, Responsibility and Competence Level:

    • Act as Subject Matter Expert (SME) utilising experience to review and assess existing DR/BCP state and recommend improvements.
    • Ownership of the existing IS Disaster recovery approach, with a view to align this to ISO 22301, in order to ensure best practice principles are implemented within Harbour.
    • Monitor, manage and deliver improvements to DR/BCP maturity levels.
    • Manage and conduct regular reviews of existing processes and tools to identify and implement identified improvements, providing guidance and assistance where required.
    • Ensure the resolution of problems and queries relating to the operational services within their discipline are dealt with efficiently and effectively.
    • Ensure development of policies and procedures to reflect industry best practice and that these are adopted and deployed.
    • Ensure correct aspects of the infrastructure are tested in accordance with requirements.
    • Own and track progress against the schedule and include all findings and improvement activities to ensure gaps and improvements are addressed in a timely manner.
    • Adhere to enterprise technology standards, governance processes and performance metrics, and use the metrics to plan improvement activities.
    • Liaise with international BUs to ensure standards are in line with requirements and assist where required to deliver improvements.
    • Build successful relationships with other IS and business functions through a clear understanding of business needs and work collaboratively to meet those needs.
    • Interact with Harbour Energy vendors as required to provide solutions where necessary.
    • Responsible for ensuring IS operational capabilities achieve regulatory or statutory compliance requirements.
    • Work with minimal supervision, using clearly defined processes and procedures.
    • Assist with educating IS teams in best practices related to DR/BCP and testing.

    Critical Skills, Qualifications Experience, etc.:

    • Excellent analytical, collaborative (team working) with planning and execution skills.
    • Strong negotiating and influencing skills. Must be able to influence all levels to ensure service issues and improvement activities are receiving the necessary support and are resourced sufficiently to implement solutions.
    • Strong experience of process management.
    • Good technical awareness and an ability to translate 'technical to business'.
    • Experience of developing and implementing process improvements.
    • Self-motivated with a willingness to go the extra mile to achieve important goals.
    • Experience of delivering governance practices to track and measure the quality of services and maintain service improvement plans.
    • Good third-party management skills
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts and technologies to the IS workforce.
    • ISO 22301 Certified with experience of aligning processes to the standard.
    • Strong knowledge of DR/BCP Testing and tabletop exercises/scenarios
    • Effective influencing and negotiation skills in an environment where resources may not be in direct control of the role
