    What you will do:

    Provide senior nursing support across all mental health inpatient services during the 24 hour period, to ensure effective operation of inpatient services and deployment of staff and resources. You will also provide advice/support to community based services and partner agencies out-of-hours as is required.

    Manage adverse and critical incidents during the 24 hour period, and implement appropriate policies, procedures and protocols in accordance with governance arrangements.

    Knowledge, training and/or experience required to do the job:

    You will be responsible for taking decisions with the information available to them at that time, with limited availability to discuss the issue with a senior manager.

    Responding to adverse and critical incidents during the 24 hour period, ensuring appropriate remedial and follow-up actions are implemented.

    Ensuring consistent application of policy, procedures and protocol during the 24 hour period.

    Supporting the bed management co-ordination function to maximise effective inpatient bed utilisation during the 24hour period as required.

    Hours:

    3x posts: 37 hours per week

    You will be asked to cover days and nights as part of a rota system. A degree of flexibility will be required dependent on service needs.
