    Description
    We are working with an NHS organisation who are seeking to appoint an interim Management Accountant. The role will be for 6 months initially and pay in the region of £250 - £350 per day.


    Key responsibilities will include:
    Ensure that work streams and programmes are planned and progress effectively and acting as a subject matter expert in the ongoing development of the framework;

    Document the organisations financial framework workshop sessions and work on the underpinning detail, as required, to develop the specific areas of the financial framework including financial policies;

    Compile the various elements of the organisations financial framework as it develops and act as "editor in chief", this will include document development, report writing and development of presentations;

    Present to key stakeholders, including System Leaders on the output of research and products covering complex and sensitive information developed as part of the programme and lead discussions on complex issues;

    Manage the workstream reporting including risks and issues logs both within the organisations transition and also to individual organisations to maintain connection;

    Carry out research as required to support the development of work areas, e.g., payment mechanisms to support different contracting mechanisms, financial framework models, financial governance including policies and procedures;

    Provide advice and interpretation of national guidance on financial matters relevant to the organisation, drawing out key areas for discussion and development.

    Report on the system in terms of year financial position (revenue and capital) to relevant stakeholders across the organisation;

    Design and oversee the production of monthly reporting which forms part of the organisations Performance Report;

    Manage the process of building the organisation's annual financial plan (revenue and capital);

    Create and develop bridging analysis to clearly demonstrate movements between financial years.


    The ideal candidate will have:
    CCAB Qualification or equivalent experience gained over several years;

    Extensive knowledge of the finance function in organisations including financial planning, governance, control environment, reporting, financial accounting acquired through experience or training plus further specialist knowledge or experience to master's level equivalent;

    Experience within a healthcare environment
