Body-in-White Project / Process Engineer to be responsible for the managing the project plan, co-ordinating resource, liaising with the customer and attending / leading various project meetings and progress reviews. This role will be workingon BIW Projects and previous experience within Body-in-White is essential.

**Project & Process Engineer - BIW duties: Leading and coordinating a multi competency project team to deliver the project plan and requirements on-time, to budget and at the required quality level
Creating and communicating project progress to the customer and senior management
Leading detailed investigations into technical issues that arise within the BIW environment and generating a plan to resolve
Assisting with the creation detailed project plans to achieve project milestones
Updating and amending project plans to suit the changing needs of the customer
Reviewing incoming work defining scope and coordinating quote creation among the team
Ensuring the project team are working within H&S guidelines that govern the project and all work undertaken is completed in a safe manner
Writing and reviewing RAMS then following through to approval by the principal contractor
Leading investigations into safety breaches or near miss events and supporting customer and principal contractor investigations
Completing daily safety inspections of all work being undertaken, recording, and reporting out on findings

**The ideal BIW Project Engineer: Proven ability to plan and manage time bound activities within a pre-production BIW automotive environment
Demonstrable organisational skills, and ability to think, plan and execute tasks in a logical manner
Excellent communication and negotiating skill set
Proven experience of leading and developing a project team

  • Site supervision qualification SMSTS, NEBOSH or equivalent
Understanding of BIW process and creation of associated documentation
Ability to read associated technical drawings E-Plan, GA's etc.
