- Supervise the execution of an enjoyable and immersive program for the Ultimate Juniors at the camp, ensuring compliance with all EYFS requirements.
- Plan and conduct high-quality sports, arts & crafts, and games for the four- and five-year-olds, concentrating on participation, progress, and enjoyment.
- Direct and support a small group of Early Years personnel.
- As the authorized individual, always ensure adherence to Ofsted standards, engaging directly with an official in case of an evaluation.
- Act as the primary liaison for the parents and guardians of the Juniors. This involves relaying any insights or concerns to parents.
- Handle certain administrative duties for the Juniors (e.g., sign-in/out, registration, etc.).
- Coordinate with the Camp Supervisor and collaborate as a team to consistently prioritize the well-being of the children under your care.
- Supervise and interact with the children outside of scheduled activities.
- Ensure that childcare services are consistently top-notch to cater to the requirements of individual children from diverse backgrounds and developmental stages.
- Fulfill the promise of Ultimate Activity Camp to 'Inspire Children Every Day' and exhibit conduct that mirrors the company's expectations throughout your tenure.
- Demonstrate high levels of vitality, zest, and professionalism, serving as a fitting role model for the children.
- Guarantee adherence to all camp policies and procedures by both yourself and the children in your care, including all health and safety, as well as safeguarding protocols.
- Perform any other incidental duties (e.g., cleaning, equipment maintenance/ordering, etc.).
- Attainment of at least Level 3 in Early Years/Childcare or Primary Education, with substantial experience in working with 4- and 5-year-olds.
- Demonstrated experience in working with children and conducting activities, able to adapt the delivery and structure of a session based on age and capability.
- Display enthusiasm, dynamism, and devotion to enhancing children through play and activity.
- Strong organizational and communication skills. Candidates must be self-assured in directing a group of children and taking on responsibilities.
- Solid comprehension of the Early Years Foundation Stage and its application in a camp environment.

Reporting to: Supervisor of Camp
Employment Type: Temporary work during school breaks.
Working Hours: 8:00 am – 6:00 pm on weekdays. Full-time or part-time roles for the season are available.
Overview of the Role
As our Early Years Leader, you will supervise the implementation of the Early Years program at the camp, fostering a thrilling, pleasurable, and supportive ambiance. Besides overseeing the setup, you will actively engage and organize structured sports, creative activities, and games for the young children attending the camp – our Outstanding Activity Juniors. The activities provided will adhere to EYFS standards for education and growth, with a focus on involvement and excellence.
Under the guidance of the Camp Supervisor, you will be the main point of contact for the 4- and 5-year-olds at the camp, taking charge of their well-being and offering top-notch care. Collaborating with the Camp Supervisor, you will be accountable for meeting all Ofsted standards and serve as the primary conduit for communication with the parents of our Juniors.
Our Early Years facilities operate with a 1:8 ratio, meaning you may work independently or as part of a team. It is the responsibility of the Early Years Leader to coordinate, guide, and assist the rest of the Early Years team to ensure the provision of superior childcare at all times.
