Trading Services & Capital Controllers partner with other JPMC functions, including Business Managers, Basel Measurement & Analytics (BM&A) within Global Operations, Product Team, LOB Product Controllers to establish control and governance best practices and accountability for the Regulatory Capital process.


Trading Services & Capital Controllers Team within Securities Services Product Controllers organization is responsible for reporting of Trading Services (Agent Securities Finance & Collateral Services) revenue & Securities Service's Capital & Risk Weighted Assets (RWA) under the Basel III Standardized and Advanced capital regimes as well as GSIB and Supplementary Leverage Ratios.

Trading Services & Capital Controllers partner with other JPMC functions, including Business Managers, Basel Measurement & Analytics (BM&A) within Global Operations, Product Team, LOB Product Controllers to establish control and governance best practices and accountability for the Regulatory Capital process.


The group is also involved in projects, including those related to enhancing key reporting systems, conducting strategic analysis, and participating in various governance forums.

As a member of the Trading Services & Capital Controller's team the individual's responsibilities will include:


Trading Services:


  • Demonstrate a clear understanding of the product(s) responsible for and the drivers impacting the P&L
  • Provide insightful analysis to the Global Controllers, Product and Business Managers, helping to facilitate effective and focused management of the business
  • Responsible for the month end close reporting of Revenues (Fees, NII) for the allocated products within Securities Services
  • Analysis and reporting of key metrics to support the Revenue of the allocated product business, including AUC, AUA and Deposit balances
  • Assist in the external regulatory reporting agenda for Balance Sheet & Revenue
  • Engage with Product and Business Managers to understand key drivers impacting the business in order to highlight risks and opportunities to Plan. Promptly escalate areas of concern, help drive solutions and create a robust forecast

Capital:


  • Develop a strong understanding of regulatory capital rules (Basel 3 Standardized and Advanced approaches) along with related ratios and metrics to enable delivery of core reporting and analysis
  • Preparation of in depth monthly and quarterly RWA analytics and management pack to enable senior management to understand key trends and drivers across capital ratios as well as forecast to actual variance analysis
  • Support RWA review and signoff by LOBs and ensure quality variance commentary
  • Respond to adhoc analytical requests from key partners such as Senior Management
  • Assist in firmwide initiatives to ensure delivery of a consistent and sound operating model as it applies to the production of RWA and compliance with the Basel Regulatory Capital framework across the firm by developing and syndicating guidelines documents
  • Support automation initiatives pertaining to RWA reporting and attestation to ensure the design and build requirements meet business needs
  • Assist in implementation of new regulatory requirements and rule changes to regulatory capital disclosures


The position involves interaction with many teams across firm including LOB and Corporate Finance Functions, BM&A, Regulatory Policy, Audit, and Technology.

The ability to work efficiently, communicate effectively and influence across these boundaries will be one of the keys to success.
