    TheRole:

    We are looking to recruit anElectrical Project Manager to join our growing team. Reporting tothe Operations Manager you will have full responsibility formanaging a range of electrical infrastructure projects fromconception through to completion. You will demonstrate effectiveleadership whilst efficiently working across multiple projectssimultaneously. All elements below include both grid connection andprivate/balance of plant projects and range from LV (Low Voltage)through to 132kv.

    The key responsibilities of therole are:

    • Working collaboratively in ateam environment demonstrating effectiveleadership.
    • Working on multiple projectssimultaneously fostering synergy amongst diverseteams.
    • Efficiently defining project scopes anddeliverables.
    • Assisting with financialmanagement of construction projects.
    • Compilingcomprehensive bills of quantities and tenders for the M&Escope of projects.
    • Requesting and reviewingquotations from M&Econtractors.
    • Overseeing appointment andcontractual processes of M&Econtractors.
    • Ensuring robust subcontractagreements.
    • Preconstruction coordination ofdesign planning and procurementactivities.
    • Organising the logistics of allequipment and material deliveries coordinating and planning workand monitoring overall progress.
    • Maintainingrealtime project cost tracking.
    • Reviewing andapproving contractor invoices.
    • Drivingcostsaving initiatives within M&E constructionoperations.
    • Developing and improving companyHSEQ policies from an M&E constructionperspective.
    • Working closely with the designteam Civil Project Manager and Compliance Manager to ensure theprojects meet required timescales deliverables quality standardsand specifications.
    • Working with variousclients and stakeholders to ensure the projects are deliveredsuccessfully.
    • Ensuring works are carried out inline with current Building Regulations and goodpractice.
    • Maintaining diligent changemanagement and risk management processes through the projectlifecycle.

    ThePerson:

    The ideal candidate willhave a proven background within electrical project management withexperience in grid connections the transmission and distributionindustry or the HV industry. Ideally you will have previousexperience working for an ICP ((Independent Connection Provider)and/or a DNO (Distribution Network Operator). You will haveestablished experience of working and interfacing with the DNOs onprojects. A good track record of managing teams negotiatingcontracts contract administration and managing a fastpacedworkload.

    The successful candidate will beselfmotivated with excellent communication interpersonal andmanagement skills. You will have a strong understanding of budgetand cashflow management. You will be highly organised with theability to problem solve act on your own initiative and makedecisions under pressure. Advanced IT skills will be requiredincluding confidence with Microsoft Projects and the MS Officesuite.

    A HNC/HND in Electrical Engineering wouldbe desirable. A project management qualification such asAPM/Prince2 would also be beneficial.
