    We are the Consulting division of Davies, accelerating business, technology and people performance across financial services including banking, asset and wealth management, insurance and other highly regulated industries.

    We are currently seeking a Senior Legal Counsel to join our team on a permanent basis to support our growing Consulting Legal team.

    The opportunity

    This role will be reporting into the Head of Legal. We are looking for a lawyer who will be able to deal with general commercial advisory work, contract risk analysis and support a broad range of legal and compliance queries.

    We are currently located in nine countries, and we continue to explore opportunities to expand our global footprint.

    You will:

    • Draft, review, and negotiate various multi-jurisdictional commercial agreements whether standard or bespoke (e.g. master services agreements, collaboration agreements, NDAs, and other terms and conditions), ensuring alignment with internal stakeholders' and legal requirements.
    • Deliver contract risk analysis and develop strategies to mitigate exposure, safeguarding the interests of the organisation and its clients.
    • Analyse legal and business scenarios to develop solutions that address the commercial and legal requirements of the organisation.
    • Collaborate with consultants and management across various levels, effectively balancing diverse interests.
    • Support with queries in relation to HR, Operations, IT, Marketing and Data Privacy.
    • Engage with legal counterparts across Davies Group, assisting in the implementation of Legal and other processes.
    • Stay up to date with developments in relevant areas of law, contributing to the enhancement of the Legal team's knowledge base and preparing/developing contract templates.
    • Stay up to date with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards to ensure compliance across all aspects of Davies Group's operations and client engagements.

    Experience

    Essential:

    • Qualified solicitor in England & Wales, at least 6+ PQE.
    • Extensive commercial law and contract review experience.
    • Confident negotiator with skillset to handle contract negotiations with large international clients.
    • A team player with the ability to establish and maintain relationships with senior stakeholders.

    Desirable:

    • In-house experience from a management consulting firm or similar organisation.
