    Wyke is looking to recruit an enthusiastic and inspiring teacher or Head of Subject to join this experienced and hardworking department to make a difference to the lives of our students. The geography department currently has approximately 160 students and 2 members of staff. Lessons are split into 2 lessons of human a week and 2 lessons of physical a week. The optional topics currently studied are coastal systems, hazards and contemporary urban environments. An annual trip to Iceland is offered as well as 3 fieldwork days.

    The successful candidate will:

    ·Be keen to embrace our culture of high standards and commitment to development.

    ·Be a qualified teacher or working towards that, be knowledgeable in the subject area, and deliver engaging lessons that draw the best performance from students.

    ·Have the ability to build strong relationships with students and colleagues and understand the factors that lead to high levels of student achievement.

    ·Teach on the A-Level Geography course.
