    Position: Head of Finance

    Company: Health-tech startup

    Location: London/Hybrid

    Salary: £60-75k + Equity

    A dynamic health-tech startup poised for expansion into the US market, is seeking a skilled Head of Finance to join our team. As a pivotal member of our 30-person company, you will have the opportunity to drive financial strategy and execution during this crucial phase of growth. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will collaborate closely with the People and Operations teams, demonstrating both strategic acumen and a hands-on approach to financial management.

    Responsibilities:

    • Financial Management: Oversee day-to-day finance operations and implement efficient accounting processes. Take a proactive role in financial control while maintaining a strategic perspective.
    • Reporting and Forecasting: Provide in-depth financial reports to investors, aligning forecasts with growth objectives. Utilize advanced financial modeling to inform decision-making and scenario planning.
    • Strategic Planning: Collaborate with executives to develop and execute business strategies, ensuring financial sustainability and maximizing return on investment. Manage annual financial planning and budgeting processes.
    • International Expansion: Lead finance operations in the US market, navigating regulatory requirements and tax implications. Support the company's expansion efforts with comprehensive financial strategies.
    • Compliance and Governance: Establish and enforce financial policies and procedures to promote transparency and accountability. Prepare quarterly and year-end financial reports for senior leadership and the Board of Directors.

    Requirements:

    • Qualifications: ACCA qualification or equivalent in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
    • Experience: Proven track record in finance leadership roles within startups or fast-paced environments. Strong understanding of USA market regulations and tax implications.
    • Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels. Proficiency in financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting. Advanced financial modeling capabilities are essential.
    • Industry Knowledge: Interest in the health tech/mental health space is advantageous.
