Their 24/7 logistics centre based in Northampton provides round-the-clock environmental compliance monitoring across all sites while optimising the performance of our generating plants.


Working within a cross-functional team, the Support Technician Apprentice will develop their skills by supporting the team to deliver an improved level of operational efficiency across the business.

The role would suit a flexible, articulate individual, who is proactive and able to work in a collaborative environment.

Support the Operations Performance function through involvement in the following tasks: Monitoring of the health and safety of field-based staff through the utilisation of Lone Worker systems

  • Dispatching & prioritisation of scheduled and unscheduled team members through the utilisation of existing maintenance and asset management systems
  • Monitoring of Scada telemetry systems and implementation of response procedures on receipt of alarm data or warning notifications
  • Load optimisation of fieldbased assets
  • Monitoring of various mailboxes across the function including Logistics Centre, Dispatch & Fleet
  • Call handling and dissemination of information to relevant team members

Skills:


  • Adept with Microsoft packages and data manipulation tools
  • Demonstrate excellent organisational skills and the ability to see projects through to completion
  • Understanding of business processes
  • Effective time management and the ability to work on multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Ability to engage with colleagues at all levels of the business
  • Ability to propose smart ideas to offer 'options'
