Description
Job Role- To oversee the operation of the finance transactional team and ensure all stakeholders receive an efficient financial transaction processing service
- To produce accurate and timely financial information
- To lead and coach a team of finance professionals
- To manage key relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Overseeing and reviewing all activities within the finance transactional team including sales ledger, purchase ledger, payroll, cash posting and all general ledger entries
- Supervise, motivate and develop a team of finance professionals
- Implement improvements to processes and accounting systems, ensuring they are fit for purpose, to improve the accuracy and efficiency of financial transaction processing
- Create and enhance systems and processes to prevent errors in data collection and calculations
- Ensure the accurate and timely completion of all bank reconciliations and levy calculations
- Day to day management of working capital and ensuring adequate cashflow
- Completing accurate and timely ONS returns
- Proactive management of relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, including third party suppliers
- Managing the yearend financial audit process, and production of yearend statutory accounts
- Supporting the Financial Controller and the Head of Finance with preparation of financial reporting as required
Qualifications and Education
Skills and Knowledge
- Professional accountancy qualification
- Previous experience in a finance manager role
- Experience in managing multicompany accounting ledgers
- Good understanding of all corporate and technical accounting functions
- Strong leadership and influencing skills
- Good communication skills both written and oral
35 hours per week
