Reed Finance is delighted to be partnering with a leading global real estate firm based in London on the search for a Vice President, Asset Management.


Our client has an established a track record of award-winning projects and delivers consistent and high returns across real estate asset classes.

The businesses strategic focus is to invest in markets and real estate sectors with good growth potential.


This Asset Management role will be responsible for leading a team in formulating and executing asset management strategies and plans for a student housing real estate portfolio.


This will include identifying marketing strategies to optimise income, positioning of the assets, enhancement of cash flow and asset value as well as maintaining good tenant relationships and working closely with the property managers to ensure all assetsare correctly maintained and compliant.


This is a fantastic opportunity for an Asset Management professional who has notable experience leading asset management teams ideally within student housing.


Key Responsibilities of this VP, Asset Management role:

  • Responsible for the overall positioning and to achieve the financial, investment, and operational goal of the assigned portfolio
  • Preparing and managing annual budgets and reports covering the financial performance of the asset, leasing status and rental collection
  • Recommending divestment opportunities, managing the sale process and assisting with underwriting of new investments opportunities.
  • Work closely with Property Managers to ensure asset is compliant with regulations and coordinating with external parties e.g. brokers and government authorities
  • Formulate and execute of asset management plans including asset enhancement initiatives
  • Build strong relationships with customers and coordinating with external parties like government authorities, brokers, leasing agents, vendors, consultants etc.
  • Manage market intelligence, collate global market/ industry information to ensure competitiveness of the Company's products and services

Key Qualifications and Skills required for this VP, Asset Management role:

  • High level of proficiency in MS Excel, able to develop Excel financial models of various sizes.
  • Be operationally handson and resourceful with sound financial grounding.
  • Significant experience in the student accommodation/housing sector.
  • Minimum of fifteen (15) years' relevant real estate asset management experience.
  • Exemplary people management skills.
  • Exceptionally strong interpersonal skills, able to interface with colleagues internally and on a crossborder/remote basis and third parties.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Real Estate, Building, Business Administration, Finance, Engineering or equivalent.
  • Must be operationally handson with sound financial grounding.


This role offers a salary from £105,000-£120,000 per annum, with potentially 25% bonus, hybrid working and a fantastic working culture.
