- To be a flexible member of the management team ensuring effective coordination of services within the location.
- To assist in the management of a multidisciplinary workforce ensuring the client policies / procedures and values are adhered to with due consideration to the regulations and outcomes surrounding registered services. This may include having registered manager responsibility.

- To have completed QCF(NVQ) level 3 in Health and Social Care
- Knowledge and understanding of what constitutes a high quality specific service and experience.
- Knowledge of using quality measures e.g. internal/external audits and experience of making improvements associated with such measures.
- In depth knowledge of statutory requirements such as Care Quality Commission regulations and outcomes.
- Knowledge of identifying and implementing staff training needs including knowledge of regulatory requirements for staff training in a social care environment.
- Experience of providing high quality services.
- Experience in the management and guidance of junior staff via formal supervision and appraisals to maintain and improve quality and morale.
- Experience of person-centred working.
