A large business in Luton are in need of a Finance Manager.

The business is offering internal growth and development with the aim of progressing the successful individual up through the business.

Reporting into an FC, you will be involved in commercial analysis and helping drive efficiency across the finance department as well as the management accounts preparation, maintaining the balance sheets and budgeting and forecasting.

The business is hoping to become AIMS listed in the near future, making this a great time to join the team.


Finance Manager responsibilities:

  • Assist with preparation and consolidation of statutory accounts
  • Business partnering different department heads and nonfinance people
  • Ownership of the credit control function
  • Group Reporting and monthly management accounts
  • Monthend; including preparation, posting and review of journals, balance sheet reconciliations and variance analysis
  • Reviewing transactional finance journals and reports
  • Assist the Group Finance Director with budget setting process and preparation of cashflow forecasts
  • Adhoc analysis and projects to support the needs of the business

Key competencies:

  • ACA/ACCA/CIMA Qualified or QBE
  • Strong management accounting experience
  • Exposure to managing a team
  • Track record of working in a fastpaced environment
  • Prioritising conflicting tasks and responsibilities
