One of our clients based in the midlands are looking to recruit a Head of Policy and Communications to lead the council's Corporate Policy and Communications service to ensure it has an excellent reputation in the local community and on the regional and national stage.


The post-holder will be expected to develop the right strategies and approaches to ensure that the council effectively improves residents' understanding of the key services the council delivers.

They must also deliver a high performing, efficient and effective Corporate Policy and Communications service that is responsive to the needs of the organisation and its local community.


As well as advising the Chief Executive, the Leader of the Council, Executive Members and the Corporate Leadership Network on critical policy and reputational matters, you will also be responsible for Providing leadership to approximately 30 staff and direct line-managing up to 5.

This assignment is set for an initial period of up to 6 months with a likely extension thereafter and the pay rate is £750/day umbrella (negotiable)
