    This is a hybrid role with the flexibility to work both virtually and from our Chelmsford, London or Redhill office.

    What the day will look like

    Working with DAA Programme Manager and Head of Delegated Authority Solutions by providing a pro-active approach to meet business needs by;

    • Oversight of all DAS projects and effective communication to senior stakeholders on the status, making it clear where escalation steps are required, by who and what. Ensuring that projects are delivered to agreed timescales, quality and budget.
    • Allocating resource to ensure project management through the lifecycle of a DAS project balancing against BAU servicing tasks for DASs.
    • Ownership and development of project templates, providing training within the DAS team on project management guidance and how to effectively use templates.
    • Analysing data and drawing conclusions and findings to be presented to drive growth.
    • Following the Prioritisation Capability framework steps to ensure that all new and development DAA opportunities can be measured and assessed.
    • Presenting to AUM Exec group on new and development DAA opportunities in order to drive informed decisions on what AUM can achieve in the coming 12 months.
    • Establish position as the DAS liaison point for brokers and other key stakeholders where developments and new DAAs are proposed.
    • Liaising with all internal stakeholders who are accountable for servicing the DAA and meeting our contractual requirements (underwriters, fiduciary functions, claims, brokers, reporting team etc.) to ensure that they would be able to support a development or new DAAs.
    • Supporting the Head of DAS with any other ad-hoc requests as required by the business.

    How this opportunity is different

    The DAS team focus on maintaining and creating solutions for complex placements and drafting best in class Agreements, working with Lloyd's, the LMA and carriers' Delegated Authority Teams. This could be through the development of an existing product to a greater level of authority (e.g. converting a Lineslip into a Binding Authority) or identifying an area of a portfolio that could benefit from the efficiencies that an DAA can offer. We are a hub with specific technical and binding authority expertise, enabling growth in Aon's coverholder network through insight driven risk transfer advice and market solutions.

    Skills and experience that will lead to success

    • Project management
    • Delegated Authority, Binding Authorities and Agreements
    • Broad understanding of the Lloyd's and London Market Insurance
    • Sound understanding of London insurance market dynamics and core processes;
    • Excellent technical insurance knowledge around the management and placement of delegated business.
    • Good numeracy, problem-solving and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to use insurance industry IT systems to efficiently deliver client service.
    • Experience of managing effective client relationships.
    • Good understanding of compliance and FCA regulation.
    • Able to demonstrate integrity and professionalism alongside working in a team.;
