    ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Factory departments walk around each morning to check for any Production GMP/ FB/Hygiene /Quality issues.
    • Check daily start up records and report any issues to engineering department
    • Validate & sign off QA documentation related to CCPs daily
    • Complete monthly QMS internal audits/ ensure departmental audits are completed asper schedule
    • Preparing/ supporting in leading customer visits and audits, including EHO, customerand BRCGS audits.
    • Support early management of NPD (new Product Development), Equipment andPackaging projects.
    • Play important role in HACCP team, ensuring regular reviews, maintenance of systemsand implementations into the Business
    • Ensure the correct level of Technical QA cover is in place to facilitate unannouncedvisits or audits.
    • Maintain product sampling systems and review of product micro, organoleptic andanalytical work
    • Handle any issues that arise on a daily basis with the factory, hygiene issues, qualityissues etc.,
    • Lead investigations into customer complaints and queries, investigate customercomplaints and complete all relevant paperwork
    • Check, sign and issue specifications into departments as and when required
    • Update and maintain start up checks and hygiene sign off sheets for all departmentsand keep up to date with changes
    • Update paperwork as required for all departments
    • Attend all NPD product trials in factory preparing all necessary paperwork needed foreach product.
    • Technical input into site projects and developments
    • Monitor standards of factory hygiene and manufacturing standards.
    • Lead and investigate audit \ visit, sensory, micro and chemical non- conformances.
    • Manage QA teams accordingly to ensure a high standard of operation and adherence tostandards is continuously achieved;
    • Conduct return to work interviews and demonstrate adherence to the CompanyDiscipline and Grievance Policies;
    • Analyse training requirements in conjunction with Factory Managers;
    • Adopt 'best practice' in accordance with Company processes and procedures andadhere to Company policy guidelines
    • Maintain good housekeeping, comply with and promote Company Food Hygiene andEnvironmental policies and ensure the Company operates in compliance with relevantlegislation;

    QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCEMANDATORY

    • Substantial experience in similar role
    • Recognised qualification in Quality/Technical or Auditing
    • Thorough knowledge of British Retail Consortium (BRC) working practices
    • Level 3 Food Hygiene
    • Level 3 HACCP
    • Confident IT userDESIRED
    • Level 2 Allergen Awareness
    • Previous management experience
    • Health & Safety awareness
