Role:

To provide general maintenance within a care home for the elderly

Shifts:

5 day shifts per week, both full time and part time hours available between
25 and 35 hours per week.

Exact start and end time of shifts and days worked have some flexibility with agreement of the home and will be discussed at interview.

Northlands Nursing Home, Kings Avenue, Morpeth

Contact:

PURPOSE OF POSITION

To ensure the home is well maintained at all times
To undertake regular weekly and monthly maintenance checks around the home and record the outcome of those checks
To carry out basic repairs and maintenance as identified during weekly inspections or as noted by other staff in the maintenance book.
Report to management on any maintenance or health and safety issues identified during your work
Assist specialist contractors onsite with repairs if required
To use company vehicles to transport clients and make other trips on company business if required.

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & QUALIFICATIONS

Genuine interest and experience of carrying out general household maintenance and repairs.
Ability to communicate effectively with work colleagues, contractors, Clients and their families

Willingness to participate in all required Mandatory Training Programmes both on and off site when required.
Relevant experience and qualification in a maintenance related trade
Satisfactory Police Check and two references

Up to £12.00 per hour
