My client, a well-established Law firm are currently recruiting for a legal secretary to join their busy family department in Kenilworth.


  • Divorce and Dissolution of Civil Partnership
  • Separation
  • Cohabited Disputes and Agreements
  • Financial Resolution
  • Issues surrounding children
  • Collaborative Family Law


To be suitable for this role, you will have at least 6-12 months experience in a family department and a particular interest in this area of law.

The firm are looking for someone to join them for long term to support the growth of the business.

  • Answering calls from Clients and third parties
  • Taking Clients initial instructions
  • Liaising with the accounts department in relation to various payments needed to be made
  • Assisting the Head Of Department
  • Preparing and sending Invoices to the Clients.

Skills required:

  • At least 1 years' experience working in a busy family team
  • Good standard of literacy, numeracy, and attention to detail
  • Pleasant manner, flexible and cooperative
  • Pleasant telephone manner
  • Ability to work on own initiative, under pressure and take responsibility for
quality of work

  • Good time management skills
  • Excellent client care
  • Good typing skills
  • Flexibility in support of other members of staff
You must have excellent time-management skills with a high standard of typing accuracy. You should be able to take responsibility for and prioritise your workload calmly and efficiently. You will also be proficient in MS Word, Outlook and Excel.

Good customer service skills are essential for building relationships with, clients, estate agents and third parties so you should have excellent communication skills and able to work as part of the team giving support to other secretaries when appropriate.
