Job Purpose:

Key responsibilities and accountabilities:

Plans fabrication by studying routing, materials, specifications, drawings, and welding parameters.
Setsup pipe work / steel work to be welded. Verifies settings by measuring positions and adhering to international standards.
Maintains specifications by adhering to weld procedure specifications ; taking measurements; detecting malfunctions; troubleshooting processes; adjusting equipment in use; adhering to quality assurance procedures and processes.
Maintains safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.
Maintains equipment by completing preventative maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs.
Documents actions by completing material and weld location plans, weld consumable and grinding logs.

Experience, Professional Qualifications and Personal Requirements:

TIG welding and flux cored arc welding experience of pipework.
Recognised apprenticeship / time served.
Visual welding inspection.
Stick welding experience of pipework.
Fabrication of products in Duplex stainless steel, Super Duplex stainless steel and Inconel 62
Mechanical assembly.
Experience of NDT techniques.
