Meditemp is seeking an experienced and dedicated Support Worker for our client based in Colchester to support young people with a mix of backgrounds including neglect, abuse or emotional and behavioural difficulties.
The home's focus is ensuring the children are provided with a feeling of homeliness rather than a feeling of being institutionalised.

Support Worker essential skills:
- Provide support to senior and nursing staff
- Promote positivity
- Observe, assess and respond appropriately to patient needs
- Prepare and maintain patient records
- Build and maintain professional and therapeutic relationships with patients and their families
- Keep calm under pressure and when dealing with challenging or confrontational behaviour
- Good organisation and problemsolving skills
- Manage and communicate sensitive information effectively and in accordance with legislation
- Effective communication and team work skills
Meditemp requires you to have:
- A minimum of 6 months recent experience in a similar setting
- NVQ Level
- Eligibility to work within the UK
